All facilitators must participate in this at least once every two years. Objectives of this training include: - Establish safe paddling opportunities for yourself and other club members; - Evaluate the abilities and limitations of paddlers on your trip; - Know how to properly complete a float plan, incident report and post-trip report - Understand group dynamics and tips to problem-solve issues Location: Meeting room at White Spot Restaurant, 3070 264 th Street, Aldergrove. 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. RSVP to Cathy, cpcook@shaw.ca Tuesday February 12 th Hayward Lake Trip Classification 1A Be on the water at 10:00 a.m. Wet suit or dry suit required. Sign up by Friday Feb 8 with email: georgekorbach@gmail.com Wednesday February 13, 7:30 p.m. Club Meeting Harmsworth Hall Saturday February 16 th Pitt Lake (Yukon Quest prep trip but all are welcome) Trip Classification 3C Launch at 9:00 a.m. at Grant Narrows Paddle up lake and paddle back, 15 miles. Sign up by Feb 14 with Sonny: zlotnik_sonny@hotmail.com Monday Feb 18 th Family Day Cultus Lake Trip Classification 1B Circumnavigate Cultus Lake. We will explore the nooks & crannies, paddle past the church camp, stopping for lunch about half way. This is a leisurely 3 to 4 hour excursion. Wetsuit or Drysuit required.
